1. You are registered with a Canadian provincial dietetic regulatory college or association.
Please refer to the page Provincially Registered.
2. You are a graduate of a DC accredited university and internship/practicum program and are not registered with a Canadian provincial dietetic regulatory college or association.
You are eligible to be a Dietitians of Canada (DC) Member if
- You are currently or have been a Qualifying Member of DC,
- You were previously a full member of DC, or
- You have never been a memberof DC
Simply complete the Dietitians of Canada Application for Membership with all required details and documentation for new membership.
3. You completed a non-DC accredited undergraduate program but have completed academic courses required by DC or a DC accredited university dietetic education program and successfully completed an internship/practicum program but are not registered with a provincial dietetic regulatory college or association.
You are eligible to be a DC Member. Complete the Dietitians of Canada Application for Membership, submitting all required details and documentation for new membership.
Am I eligible for DC membership if I am currently in a Canadian nutrition program?4. You are currently a student in a DC accredited undergraduate dietetic education program, or internship/practicum program
You are eligible to be a Qualifying member of Dietitians of Canada if
- you are presently a student in a DC accredited academic program, or have been within the past 3 years, or
- you are currently in a DC accredited dietetic internship or practicum program
5. You are a graduate of a non-DC accredited university program in Canada and have been assessed for academic equivalency and are completing courses to apply for an internship/practicum program:
- you have a valid academic assessment completed by a DC accredited undergraduate program in dietetic education, you are eligible to be a Qualifying member of Dietitians of Canada.
- you are graduate of a non-DC accredited university program in Canada and wish to apply for an internship/practicum program, please see A Career in Nutrition. You may be eligible for qualifying membership once the assessment for academic equivalency by a DC accredited undergraduate program in Dietetic Education is complete
